Albert Young is the head performance coach for Carefree Livin’ Athletics at the Moorestown Field House. A Moorestown High School alum, Albert is widely recognized as one of the best football players in New Jersey History. Albert continued his dominant running back play at the University of Iowa where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Health & Sports Science. Young rushed for over 3,000 yards during his time at Iowa and is the Hawkeyes third all-time leading rusher.
In 2007, Albert fulfilled his lifelong dream and went on to play four years in the NFL, mostly for the Minnesota Vikings and running back coach, Eric Bienemy. Following his NFL playing career, Albert went on to serve as an offensive assistant coach at the University of Colorado and a strength & conditioning coach for the University of Pittsburgh Football program.
Albert has always maintained strong connections to South Jersey and is looking forward to sharing his extensive playing and coaching experience with the next generation of South Jersey Athletes! The Rothman Institute Field House is proud to partner with Albert in bringing this exciting new program to the extensive Field House sport lineup.
